I started 2016 with plans to do something special, but my enthusiasm didn't yet have a direction. Mid-February I started posting a daily question, and by April 12th, IOTD365 was born.
I have gained a new level of respect for those that write every day. Out of the remaining 263 days of the year, I missed six days.
84,325 words published and 1,838 questions asked, over the course of the last 8.5 months. The one-year anniversary should cross the 119K word count and 2.5K questions.
This project has forced fantastic growth. You the readers have suffered through some rough reading. One comment passed through a friend was, "I like the questions, but the English and grammar are terrible." I took this comment to heart and employed some writing tools to upgrade my writing. The comment was much appreciated and caused fewer headaches and bleeding eyes; everyone wins!
I have a working knowledge of the primary social media outlets and key metrics. I have tried some experiments and encountered a couple of epic failures. The good news is that IOTD365 does not have a $B evaluation, and the failures provide insight and many laughs.
The Word Cloud image represents the posts of 2016. My intention for IOTD365 has been to give an encouraging space to engage with questions. To lift up a topic and look at it from different angles and come away with greater self-awareness. I am pleased with the most common words.
Midway through this project, I shifted to a weekly topic format. A friend stated the depth of introspection the questions allow, make it difficult to engage with random topics on a daily basis. This helpful insight prompted the shift to a weekly topic, and I am glad he made a comment.
I am compiling the weeks worth of inquiries into a workbook available electronically for free. Each eBook will be sent out to the IOTD35 email list on Sunday's. The workbooks will also be accessible on the main site at www.IOTD365.com. Later this week, I will post both the Journaling and Care eBooks. Space is provided for you to answer each question.
This one question for this post is, "How can I make IOTD365 better?"
Grateful you are part of the IOTD365 community. Make 2017 a fantastic year!
